Bat Detecting!

As it was a beautiful, crisp night we decided to do some bat detection. With book and bat detector in hand we set about searching under the trees on the avenue  and around the pond. It took some time to attune our ears to the chips, ticks, plops and smacks which we could hear as the bats hunted for food high above us.
