Hi Francis, What a fabulous place you have here and it is just perfect for our family. The houses are great and the dogs are getting used to the goats 😉

Thank you again for a wonderful stay - we hope to come again some time… my 10 year old daughter says it’s “paradise” because it’s so quiet and she adores the goats.

We are grateful as we all enjoyed your place and the cottage. In particular my son playing football and running around with his little dog. Good weather made even more fun and beautiful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Couldn’t have stayed in a more stunning location. Perfect distance from the city, Thomastown and for a little trip to Nicholas Mosse. The cottage was very warm and cosy the perfect size for our stay with very comfortable beds! The animals provided great entertainment especially the little goats. Beautiful grounds for a stroll around to soak up the countryside. Can’t wait to be back !

Just back from a few days in Croan cottages near Kilkenny city. The setting is magnificent and the cottages were absolutely lovely and spacious with everything you could possibly need. We had our own outside area and a Barbecue was provided by the helpful owner Francis. Beds were so comfortable. The weather was an added bonus! The place is paradise for children with Llamas, Pygmy goats and a couple of sheep. There was also outdoor table tennis and a Boules area. Came home feeling totally rejuvenated and we cant wait for our next trip!

Thank you so much for everything. We had an incredible time at Croan Cottages! It was a real family get together and the kids especially adored it. Plans to visit Castlecomer yesterday were abandoned because the kids just wanted to stay and play in the garden and chat to the goats! What a beautiful place you have. The cottages are so comfortable and well-appointed, we were able to cook a big family dinner last night.

Thank you to the owner of Croan Cottages. I stayed there recently with my dogs and it was a home away from home for me and my furry pets. It was a quiet tranquil break away and I'd highly recommend it. The nearby forest was another treat with beautiful views to enrapture fond memories of my short time at Croan Cottages ❤️

Our stay at Croan Cottages was perfect for our short visit. We had a large family gathering of the clan in Lismatigue for my mothers 100th birthday! Many thanks,

“Great to be Back” Five Stars This was our second trip to Croan Cottages, but definitely not our last. We spent a long weekend here in June with our 2 small kids and our dog, all of whom had a great time again. This time, we chose a bigger cottage and were amazed by how spacious the interior is. The owners have upgraded the facilities to include free satellite TV and WiFi which would be useful if the weather was bad. Thankfully, we enjoyed glorious sunshine and didn't have need of either. They also provided travel cots, high chairs and stairgates which cut down a lot on the amount we had to pack. Our kids loved the farm animals when we stayed here last year and this time twin baby lambs had just been born - so cute! The resident peacock took a particular interest in our doorway at breakfast time and the kids love to throw him and the hens a couple of crusts. The stunning gardens were in full bloom and every day, Francis dropped over some freshly picked lettuce, rhubarb and strawberries to our cottage. Apart from the tranquility and beauty of Croan, a big bonus for us is being able to bring our dog who is just as amused by the farm animals as the kids are. We're looking forward to returning again, particularly when the new motorway opens and cuts the journey time from Dublin significantly.
